Science Center Seattle Membership Promo

Ecology is a wide field of biological knowledge and therefore it is very difficult to pinpoint a specific problem type, the object of his study. However, we discuss approaches in Ecology are three:

  • Ecosystem approach,
  • approach
  • populations and communities approach.

Ecosystem approach: Because ecosystems are a large number of agencies involved and are found in different environments, in the ecosystem approach, agencies and their activities are described by way of processes of energy flow and nutrient cycling, which allows a comparison between ecosystems, which are different. Approach

populations: In this approach we study the particular properties of a group of individuals of the same species or population to three fundamental levels: adaptations of organisms of the population to its environment, geographical distribution and changes in population size and density them. Approach

communities: studies the interaction of populations and species composition within it.
